The Transportation and Expressway Authority Membership of Florida (TEAMFL) was formed in 1997 to facilitate the exchange of information among toll agencies and the transportation industry.

The membership is made up of board members and executive staff of eight statewide expressway and four transit authorities, the Florida Transportation Commission and over 250 private sector transportation partners.

The public sector group represents members of toll authorities, expressway authorities and bridge authorities, which are created under Chapters 348 or 349 of the Florida Statutes.

The private sector group is comprised of business organizations involved in furnishing goods or professional services to the development, ownership, operation, financing or planning of limited access expressways, toll roads or bridges.

TEAMFL membership includes free attendance at all quarterly events with the ability to bring multiple employees and access to programs eligible for engineering continuing education credits, at no additional cost. Ambassadors will help you connect to your peers and introduce you to the “who’s who” of the industry. Beyond the outstanding networking opportunities. presentations, focus sessions and panel discussions keep our members informed of toll and transportation industry updates.

Toll 101 an Introduction to tolling
By: Egis & Atkins
Toll 101 is a series of seven introductory videos designed to educate a variety of audiences to the unique characteristics and value of tolling as part of the approach to finance, build and operate viable transportation solutions in North America.
Section 1: Toll Organizations, Facilities and Financing
Section 2: Roadside Toll Collection
Section 3: ETC Customers, Business Rules and Toll rates
Section 4: Back Office Operations and Customer Service
Section 5: Transportation Planning Overview
Section 6: Toll Interoperability
Section 7: Future of Tolling and Road Use Charging
It isn’t unusual for toll agencies and surface transportation providers to do the impossible and make it look easy. But once in a while, the community gets to celebrate a win that might look simple enough on the surface, but was only possible after years or (in this case) decades of slow, steady progress.
The best infrastructure projects solve multiple pressing problems at once, without creating new issues that send planners and communities back to the drawing boards. That’s why it’s so important that Florida’s Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) program is working with environmental groups and paying close attention to species and habitat conservation as it begins planning the future of the state’s three new highway connectors.
It's one of the central challenges of living in Florida today:  The tension between keeping our state's rural communities rural, and planning ahead to accommodate the approximately 900-1000 new residents who move here each day.
Provide a public-private forum to share the latest transportation advances and industry best practices and to encourage industry cooperation to sustain a financially viable, user-fee based alternative to help meet Florida’s transportation needs.

A transportation system that ensures an financially-sound, safe, reliable, and seamless customer experience for Florida residents and visitors.

Omni COVID-19 Safety Guidelines
Thank you to our sponsors
By: Orange County Government
On June 26, 2020, during the annual State of the County address, Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings launched a new regional communications campaign to further encourage business and resident participation in COVID-19 safety guidelines, and inviting consumers to positively support businesses that adhere to strong, visible safe measures.
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) joined other DOTs and transportation organizations throughout the country to recognize Rail Safety Week and to remind Floridians to be safe on or near rail crossings.  This year’s Rail Safety Week was unique as it was the first since the implementation of FDOT’s statewide rail safety initiative, Operation STRIDE (Statewide Traffic and Railroad Initiative using Dynamic Envelopes). FDOT Secretary Kevin J. Thibault, P.E. worked under the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis to launch Operation STRIDE in December 2019 with the goal of preventing additional fatalities on or near rail crossings on state roads and state-owned land crossings.

Orchard Pond Parkway is different in so many respects. It is a small stretch (5.2 miles) of lonely road in a rural/suburban section of Leon County Florida – and it is the only toll road in the county in a region of the state not known for managed lanes and traffic congestion.  Orchard Pond Parkway (OPP) was built with a specific purpose in mind. The landowner was in no hurry to develop his vast acreage and wanted to remove many of the financial pressures that come with owning large tracts of land in a growing county. He also knew the community needed an east-west facility to handle the growing transportation needs.
